Bible Groups

Horizons will once again sponsor Bible discussion groups for internationals at the University of Albany, RPI, St. Rose College and Union College this semester. The purpose of these groups is to allow internationals to learn about the Bible and Christianity in a low-key and interactive environment. The groups will typically meet for 90 minutes each week and are open and discussion-oriented. Previous Bible background is not required. Both Christians and non-Christians are welcome. There is no homework and we will provide Bibles in modern English for everyone who attends. The group schedule is given below.

  • STATE UNIVERSITY AT ALBANY: Groups forming, contact Sarah Teubl for more information or to register.

  • RPI: Thursday evening (7:00 - 8:30pm), in the RPI Library. Contact Julin Tu for more information.

  • ST. ROSE COLLEGE: Groups forming, contact Sarah Frueh for more information or to register.

  • UNION COLLEGE: Sunday Morning (9:30-10:45 am) at First Presbyterian Church.

  • SUNNY FELLOWSHIP: a. Where: The Albany Chinese Church on the corner of Madison Ave, and Partridge St. just south of the St. Rose Campus.
    b. When: 7:30 - 9:30 (7:30 - 8:00 singing, devotional and announcements in Chinese) Bible studies small groups 8:15-9:30 (Two Chinese and one English)

Additional Bible groups for internationals are also available on Sunday mornings at local churches in Albany, Troy, and Schenectady.
